Holiday Cottage (Gîte) to rent for Holidays in St-Ferriol, a hill-top village in the Languedoc in the South of France

We're having a fantastic time in a gorgeous house at the top of a small hill top village. To our south is rolling forest and to the north the prettiest valley, with orchards and vineyards dotted between the fields. from the village you can see the famous Rennes le Château.

The house is so comfortable and beautiful. It has been restored using traditional materials like naturally coloured lime plaster and oak and cedar beams. Although it is old-fashioned it has a new kitchen with all the mod cons. There are two en suite bedrooms. The bathrooms are gorgeous and there is a big living room. It is such good value for money.

There are many activities nearby including walks in the countryside or the Pyrenees mountains, thermal spas, weekly markets, and trips to the medieval city of Carcassonne, Abbeys, the Meditteranean, or Andorra. Barcelona and Lourdes a little further. You would love it here! There's also horse riding, balloon trips, white water rafting and waking up in the real sleepy south of France.
